Tuesday, August 3, 1948 - Mother ironed her clothes and I got my ironing done. I used the gasoline iron. I sure had a large ironing. I dont feel well. I went to bed a while this afternoon and took a nap and I read some. Rex, Robert and I played cards tonight. Uncle Brock don't feel so well today.

Wednesday, August 4, 1948 - It is raining today. Betty came a little while. Jean came also. We canned 1 gallon of tomatoes today. I took a nap this afternoon. I don't feel well but better than i did Monday and Tuesday. It is cooler since the rain. Uncle Brock is going to sleep up at his little house tonight. We didn't want him to go up there, but it is better to let him have his way.
