Sunday, July 18, 1948 - Mother, Robert and I wen't to Sunday School and church at Liberty this morning. We went on the bus. There were 25 people on the bus today. We stayed at home this afternoon. Robert hasn't felt so well today. His tooth has ached some today, but not as bad as it hurt last night.

Monday, July 19, 1948 - I wanted to wash today, but Rex didn't want to me to as he wouldn't be at home to help me. I wanted to wash on the washing machine and as i never have washed on a washing machine I decided to wait and let Rex help me. Beatice has washed on the machine since we bought it but I haven't. I canned 6 qts of apples and have done the general house work. I have read some this afternoon and also tonight.
