Friday, July 16, 1948 - I canned 2 qts of apples. We cleaned up the house. I washed a good many pieces this afternoon. Mother helped me some. Robert and I went to Mrs. Jones this afternoon and took her some apples. She gave us some ripe tomatoes. Our tomatoes are not ripe yet. I read some tonight.

Saturday, July 17, 1948 - It rained this morning. Mother, Rex, Robert and I went to town this afternoon. Mother went to aunt Erma's. Robert and I went to the show. We went to a Barber Shop and had Robert's hair cut. Robert has had the tooth ache tonight. His teeth are in a bad shape. I read some tonight.
