Wednesday, July 14, 1948 - We canned some apples and have done the general house work. Rex and Robert went on the Grapevine Road to look at the roads. They went to town afterwards. Rex asked me if I wanted to go but as I felt so bad I didn't go. My jaw hurts where i had a tooth pulled. I went to bed this afternoon a while and read while in bed.

Thursday, July 15, 1948 - I washed a few pieces. Beatrice wanted Rex to take some chickens to town for her this afternoon so Rex took beatrice to town with her chickens. Robert and I went with Rex. Robert and I went to the show. It rained hard this afternoon. Beatrice didn't come with us. Elmer came to town this afternoon. Beatrice and Elmer will stay all night in town. It rained hard tonight.
