Saturday, July 10, 1948 - I canned 3 qts of apples this morning. Robert was sick last night and has been in bed nearly all day. He has had fever all day. Rex and I went to town this afternoon. I went to this show this afternoon. I read some tonight. Mother stayed with Robert this afternoon.

Sunday, July 11, 1948 - Mother and I went to Sunday School this morning. We went on the bus. There were 16 on the bus. Robert stayed at home with Rex. Robert is better today. Mother, Rex, Robert and I went to town this afternoon and Rex took us to see Jessie. She is getting along fairly well. Rex went down in town and stayed most of the afternoon.
