Tuesday, July 6, 1948 - I have done the general house work. I took a nap this afternoon. I don't feel so well today. I read some tonight. Betty Wiley came this afternoon. L. A. came also. Betty brought me 2 gallons of black berries. Mother washed some today and I washed a few pieces.

Wednesday, July 7, 1948 - We made 4 pints of black berry jelly. Mother ironed a few pieces and she churned. Rex and Robert went to town this afternoon and Mother went with them as far as Mrs. Jones. Mary and Mrs. Jones brought mother home. I stayed at home with Uncle Brock. I don't feel so well today.
