Monday, June 28, 1948 - I have done the general housework this morning. It rained hard this afternoon. Rex took me by Mrs. Rodgers and I went to her Stanley party. I got there kinda late as it was raining so hard at the time we should have started. I enjoyed the afternoon. I am sure Mrs. Rodgers was kinda disappointed as there wasn't many at the party, but i am sure there would have been lots more if it hadn't rained so hard at the time the party should have started. People that aimed to walk couldn't come unless they came late.

Tuesday, June 29, 1948 - It rained this morning. I gathered in some beans and Mother and i fixed them to can this afternoon. Uncle Brock and Robert helped a little. I don't feel well.
