Tuesday, June 22, 1948 - I gathered some peas in to can. I mopped and waxed the front porch floor. I have done the general house work. Robert's birthday is Friday. I have been trying to get ready for his birthday. I don't feel well. Beatrice washed our bedroom windows and hung clean curtains and also cleaned the kitchen windows and hung clean curtains.

Wednesday, June 23, 1948 - I mopped and waxed Mother's room floor and also all bed-room floors. Beatrice will boil a ham for me. Robert is sure excited about his birthday he can hardly wait for Friday to come. I canned 4 pints of peas and 1 gallon of black berries. Betty Wiley picked the berries for me.
