Monday, June 14, 1948 - I sprayed the beans and have done the general housework. Robert and I went to Mrs. Jones this afternoon. This is the first time i had been over there since her brother Mr. Key was burried a week ago today. Mrs. Jones washed today and seems to be getting along fairly well. I sure missed Mother today.

Tuesday, June 15, 1948 - I have had a busy day. I gather enough green Beans and fixed them in the jars for 14 qts. It took me most of the day to get through. I will can the Beans tomorrow. I will keep them on ice. Tonight Uncle Brock had one of his crazy spells today. It maybe because Mother isn't at home.
