We got in a fog that we couldn't hardly see how to drive.

Saturday, March 8, 1947 We wanted to drive most of the night so we could get home in time for the funeral. We couldn't find a place to sleep a few hours so we pulled off of the highway to & slept in the car a little while. We went through Atlanta Georgia & Chattanooga Tennessee. We went under one moutain before we got to Chattanooga and went over Mount Eagle. We found snow on top of the Mountain. They have some pretty building up on the mountain. We come through Nashville Tennessee. We got to Madisonville about 12 O'clock. We got home after 1 O'clock.
