Monday, April 14, 1947 104th Day--261 Days to Follow We washed today. We didn't have a very large washing. I made some Soap this afternoon. I went out to the lot where Rex is working on a machiney Shed. I went to bed a little while + Read while in bed. My side has hurst some this afternoon. Rex + I played cards tonight. Rex won the most games.
Tuesday, April 15, 1947 105th Day--260 Days to Follow We ironed this morning. Robert and I went to Mrs. Jones this afternoon. Ellalouise was operated on for appendicitis this morning. They went to Evansville for her operation. Lee, Callie + Chester are all with her. It rained awful hard this afternoon. We listened to the Radio some tonight. Rex + I played cards. We played 3 games + I won 2 of them.

Wednesday, April 16, 1947 106th Day--259 Days to Follow It is turning colder. I have cleaned up the house and mended the clothes. A Ship flew up in Texas and killed a lot of people. I have Read some this afternoon and have been writing a poem about my trip to Fla. I guess I will never be a writer but I guess I will always write at times. I have a Scrap-Book I put my writing in and keep most of what I write.
Thursday, April 17, 1947 107th Day--358 Days to Follow I got a letter from aunt Georgia McGuyer today. She went to see aunt Jannie last week. She says Aunt Jannie is pitiful. Mr. Fredrick moved today. Rex + Robert went to town today. They went to a Stock Sale. Mrs. Jones came this morning she says Ellalouise is getting along very well. Listened to the Radio tonight. Mr. Fredrick moved in our little house + will work for Rex.

Friday, April 18, 1947 108th Day--257 Days to Follow I have done the general house work. I washed my head this afternoon. I went to Mrs. Jone's a little while. She says Elouise is getting along all-right. We got a letter from Maud. She says, Uncle Joe isn't so well. I Read some today. Listened to the Radio a little tonight.
Saturday, April 19, 1947 109th Day--256 Days to Follow Rex layed a new floor in my clothes closet this morning but he didn't have time to get the shelves made. Rex, Robert + I went to town this afternoon. James Fredrick went with us. Robert went to Jessie's and I went to the Show. Listened to the Radio tonight + Rex + I played cards. I saw Mrs. Gene Melton in town + she says Mr. Gene is about the same. Mr. Dixon her father is sick. He is 80 years old.

Sunday, April 20, 1947 Mother, Rex, Robert & I went to church at Liberty this Morning. It rained hard about the time church was over and rained on us all the way home. Mrs. Elmon Wiley stopped us and said something was wrong with Mr. Wiley. Rex rushed up to their house and I went when it quit raining so hard. He soon got some better. I read this afternoon. The Fredrick boys came & play with Robert Rex & I played cards tonight. Rex won the most games.
Monday, April 21, 1947 I have been disappointed today because Rex & I didn't take Robert & I to the circus. I didn't wash today as it looked like it would rain. The Fredrick boys have been playing with Robert. I went to see Mrs. Fredrick this afternoon. She says her health is poor & she seemed so blue. Rex made some shelves in my closet this afternoon. Lawrence & Jean came and took supper with us. We played Rook. Lawrence & Rex won more games than Jean & I did.

Tuesday, April 22, 1947 We washed today. Rex went to town, Court met. I went to bed and took a nap this afternoon and read while in bed. We listened to the Radio tonight. We heard "The Amus and Andy" show and "Fiber McGee and Molly". I don't feel so well my side hurts.
Wednesday, April 23, 1947 We started house cleaning today. I cleaned the living Roon and Varnished the Floor. I went to see Elouise this afternoon. She is doing fine and is up. Mother & I fixed the front screen door. The old one was wore out so we put on a new screen. Listened to the Radio tonight.
