Friday, April 4, 1947 It has rained today. I haven't done anything much just the general house work. I don't feel well. Stella came this afternoon. Dock & Fletcher came also but they didn't come in the house. They helped Rex do some work. Listened to the Radio tonight some & Rex & I played cards. I won the most games.

Saturday, April 5, 1947 Mother, Robert, Rex & I went to town today. Mother spent the day at Aunt Erma's. Robert & I spent the day at Jessie's. Hermon was at Jessie's. It has rained hard this afernoon & the wind blew right hard. There was a storm in Okla. & 4 People killed this afternoon. I went to town a little while this afternoon. I went with Gene, Kathryn, Faye & their aunt & I saw Rudell. Listened to the Radio tonight. Rex & I played cards. Rex won the most games. I don't feel well. I have had a head-ache.

Sunday, April 6, 1947 Rex & Robert went to Bethelham this afternoon to an Easter Hunt. I went to Mrs. Rodgers. I didn't want to go to the the Easter Hunt. Mrs. Rodgers children were all there. I don't feel well. Robert enjoyed the egg hunt. He found 9 eggs but he had some help. He wouldn't have that many by himself.

Monday, April 7, 1947 We signed the lease to lease our coal this Morning. We signed it at home. I don't feel well so I didn't wash. Mother & I went to Mrs. Jones this afternoon. Robert was out in the field with Rex. I wrote a letter to Alyene Rogers & also one to Eula Vawter. Uncle Brock moved to his little house to sleep. He will take his meal with us. He has been sleeping at our home all winter.

Tuesday, April 8, 1947 It has rained all day so I didn't get to go to Callie's as I has intended to do. I wanted to go this afternoon but wouldn't go in the rain. I have read some this afternoon. Mother popped- some pop-corn & we had corn to eat.

Wednesday, April 9, 1947 I still don't feel well but am some better. Robert & I went to Callie's this afternoon. I have the general house work & washed a few pieces of Robert's. Rex & I played cards tonight. We Played 2 games and Rex won both of them. The sun has been shining all day.

Thursday, April 10, 1947 We washed today. The wind has been blowing. It rained about 4:30 this afternoon and the sun shining. I went to bed a while this afternoon & read while in bed. We got an Easter card & letter from Mrs. M. R. Smith today. I read a little tonight. Rex & I Played cards tonight. Rex won the most games. It is raining tonight.

Friday, April 11, 1947 We ironed this Morning. Mrs. Jones came this afternoon. Rex & I played cards tonight. Rex won 2 games & I won 3 games. We listened to the Radio a while tonight.

Saturday, April 12, 1947 Robert, Mother, Rex & I went to town this afternoon. Mother & Robert went to Jessie's and I went to the show. I saw Loucile Walls and she says she has a baby girl 8 months old. I didn't know she had a child that small. We listened to the Radio Tonight. Leona Slaton's Mother is dead. The funeral will be tomorrow.

Sunday, April 13, 1947 Rex & I went to Mrs. Williams funeral at Barnett's Funeral Home. We then went down in town a while. I got some pop-corn & 2 magazines. We then went to Anna Belle's to see them and also Cousin Will. Cousin Will is getting along fairly well. Rex & I played cards tonight. We played 6 games and I won 5 of them. It really thrill me to beat Rex.
