Tuesday, March 25, 1947 I ironed & mended the clothes. I got a letter from Aunt Jannie. She has had the flu but is better. The wind has been blowing all day. I read some tonight & Read to Robert out of his "Bible Story Book". We listened to the Radio also. We heard "The Amus and Andy" show and "Fiber McGee & Molly." I read 2 chapters out of the Bible.
Wednesday, March 26, 1947 We had fried chicken for dinner. I have done the general house work. Mary Jones came a little while this afternoon. We listened to the Radio tonight. I don't feel so well. It has been cold today. The ground was frozen hard this morning. It snowed a little this Morning but it didn't last but a few minutes.

Thursday, March 27, 1947 The ground is covered in snow this morning & still is snowing. The trees are hanging full of snow. Mother popped some pop-corn & we made some snow cream. The sun has been shining this afternoon. The snow is 8 or 10 inches deep. Listened to the Radio tonight & I Read some. I don't feel so well. Rex & I played cards this afternoon and also tonight.
Friday, March 28, 1947 The sun is shining & the snow is melting some. It won't all melt today as it is too big a snow. I believe this is the deepest snow I ever saw. The paper said the snow is a foot deep. I have read some today & Rex & I played cards. Rex won the most games this afternoon. We played cards tonight & I won the most games. Betty Wiley came a little while this afternoon. I don't feel so well today. I set 21 hens today.

Saturday, March 29, 1947 The snow hasn't all melted yet but most of it is gone. Rex & I went to town this afternoon. I went to the show and saw Red Rider and Little Beaver. I don't feel well today. Rex & I had a misunderstanding on our way home, over his old sweet-heart. He says I am Jealous. Who wouldn't be the way she runs after him. He would be too if he was in my shoe's. Listened to the Radio tonight & I read some.
Sunday, March 30, 1947 The snow has nearly all melted just a little in the shade. It is a lot warmer today. John Marion & Monroe came this morning. Rex, Robert & I took a drive this afternoon & went down to anton. We went to the airport and watched the Aeroplanes a while. We then drove to town and Robert & I got some pop-corn & ice cream. We got some magazines also. I saw Callie in town. Robert & I walked around in town some. Rex & I played cards tonight. I won the most games. I read some tonight also. I don't feel so well.

Monday, March 31, 1947 Today has been a pretty day. I washed. Mother helped me a little. I sure don't feel well. I went to bed a while this afternoon & read some while in bed. Mrs. McClaren, Lawrence & Jean came tonight. We played Rook. Jean & I won the most games. I got a letter from Rudell today. She says Aunt Georgia is lots better.
Tuesday, April 1, 1947 I have been disappointed today as I wanted to go to town with Rex. It has rained today so Rex went alone. Mother, Robert & I intended to go and Mother was going to see the Doctor. Court met today so Rex went but the rest decided to not start out in the rain. I ironed today & Mother churned. I went to bed a while this afternoon & read while in bed. I popped Robert some corn. I sure don't feel well today. I have had a head-ache. We listen to the Radio tonight & heard "The Amus and Andy" show and "Fiber McGee & Molly". Rex & I played cards tonight. We played 4 games. Rex won 2 games & I won 2. It is raining tonight.

Wednesday, April 2, 1947 I have been cleaning up Kitchen today. I washed the walls and wood-work and furniture and windows and cleaned the floor. I still don't feel well. We got a letter from Ernest Baugh today. we listened to the Radio tonight and Rex & I played cards. I won the most games.
Thursday, April 3, 1947 Rex, Robert, Mother & I went to town today. I went with Mother to see Dr. Finley. He says he thinks Mother has had the flu and he believes she will be as well as she was last Summer when she gets over the flu. I got some new Black Slippers for myself and Robert a new pair of pants and an Easter Basket. Mother & I went to the show. We went to Jessie's a little while. Nannie Mae was at Jessie's. Listened to the Radio tonight & Rex & I played cards. Rex won the most games.
