[Left Page] [Thursday, January 30, 1941] I have done the general house work finished ironing and embroidered some. Mr. Slaton has been dead 1 year today. I washed my head. Rex went to town. Rex heard that Earl Junior and Louise married today.

[Right Page] [Thursday, January 31, 1941] I have done the general house work and went to Mrs. Rodgers this afternoon she cut my hair. Uncle Brock went to town.

[Left Page] [Saturday, February 1, 1941] We went to town today & I got 2 new dresses. I went to Jessie's also.

[Right Page] [Sunday, February 2, 1941] Rex & I went to Pleasant View today and spent the day with Mother and Dad. They are not getting along as well. Mr. Croft came to see them in the afternoon.

[Left Page] [Monday, February 3, 1941] Uncle Brock & I washed this morning. I finished making the pillow cases I aim to give Uncle Brock for his birthday.

[Right Page] [Tuesday, February 4, 1941] I ironed today & made a new slip for myself. Rex went to Owensborough today with the last of his tobacco.

[Left Page] [Wednesday, February 5, 1941] I made a cake for Uncle Brock's birthday and made 2 brasslines[?].

[Right Page] [Tuesday, February 6, 1941] Uncle Brock is 84 years old today. I made some boil custard and dressed a chicken. Uncle Brock started for Pleasant View this afternoon. Rex went to town & I went to see Sis. I was there a good while before she got home from school. She measured me so I would know what size to get a dress!

[Left Page] [Friday, February 7, 1941] I started making some cushion covers for mother but didn't finish them and I didn't know how to use the Ruffler on mother's machine. I fixed a dress today. It has turned much colder.

[Right Page] [Saturday, February 8, 1941] Joy, Rex & I went to town today and I spent the day at Jessie's. Sis was there also. Listened to the Radio tonight. Rex & I played some checkers but I didn't have any luck. Fern came home with Joy and will spend the night.
