TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 1941 I washed today & have done the general house work.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9, 1941 I ironed today & mended part of the clothes. Anna Margarette and little daughter came this afternoon. I went to the sand field a while late this afternere where Jay & Rex were at work.

THURSDAY, APRIL 10, 1941 I finished mending the clothes and have done the general house work.

FRIDAY, APRIL 11, 1941 I made a cake & cleaned up the house. I went to Mrs. Rodgers this afternoon to see Madelyn she looks awful bad to me but is some better than she was for a while.

SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 1941 Mother called me today & said she couldn't come to visit me as she had planned. Rex & I went to town about 4 o'clock this afternoon & I went to Jessie's. Sis came to Jessie's tonight. Mother called Hopkinsville today & they said Dad was eating and sleeping better and able to go to the dining room.

SUNDAY, APRIL 13, 1941 EASTER SUNDAY Rex & I went to Pleasant View today and spent the day with Mother and Uncle Brock. Ocie came in the afternoon.

MONDAY, APRIL 14, 1941 I started cleaning my bed room today & painted the floor.

TUESDAY, APRIL 15, 1941 I washed today. Rex helped me finish washing. Rev. Hartford came a while this morning. Rex went to town this afternoon & I went to see Alma. She washed this afternoon. Rex & I went to Anton tonight to see Gufer and his Kentuckians. I enjoyed them a lot.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16, 1941 I got part of my ironing done. Alma came this afternoon & we worked in my bedroom. Alma washed my windows & hung my curtains & put the new rug down & waxed it for me. Rex & Jay have been working away from home today. Jessie got a call from Hopkinsville saying Dad is worse. Rex went to tell Mother & I went home with Alma & will spend the night. Fern & William Ross spent the night with Jay & Rex.

THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 1941 I came home this morning and got dinner & finished ironing. I mended some clothes today. Rex went to town. Lin & Jessie took Mother to Hopkinsville to see Dad. Jessie thought he was in a awful bad shape while Mother thought he wasn't as bad as she had seen him a number of times. I took a long nap this afternoon.
