[Left Page] [Wednesday, March 19, 1941] I ironed this morning and mended part of the clothes. Mrs Rodgers came this afternoon Marie came after she got home from school. Fern came tonight & will spend the night with us.

[Right Page] [Thursday, March 20, 1941] I covered Uncle Brock's chair today.

[Left Page] [Friday, March 21, 1941] I made a cake washed my kitchen windows and hung my curtains. Alma came a little while this afternoon and brought a letter from Mother. She says Dad is getting so he don't want to sleep night or day and she thinks he is going crazy again. She wants Rex to go down there and tell her what to do.

[Right Page] [Sunday, March 22, 1941] We went to town today. I went to Jessie's. Little Jimmy was ther. Albert & Edna came a little while also. Rex went to Pleasant View today. He found Dad in a bad shape. He says it looks like he couldn't live long.

[Left Page] [Sunday, March 23, 1941] It rained this morning so we didn't go to Pleasant View until after dinner. Dad isn't any better. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Croft Awbrey, Alline and children were there. We didn't stay very long.

[Right Page] [Monday, March 24, 1941] I washed today. Rex went to Pleasant View again today. Dad was some better he rested better last night than he had for sometime. Mr. Gene Melton stayed with them. Rex took a Mr. Jack Nickles to stay with Mother and Dad for a while. Rex is paying him $1.50 a day.

[Left Page] [Tuesday, March 25, 1941] I ironed and mended the clothes.

[Right Page] [Wednesday, March 26, 1941] I fixed a pillow top for Mother today. Rex went to Pleasant View this afternoon & got some corn. I wanted to go with him but he didn't want me to go. Rex says Dad isn't so well that his mind seems worse but his strength seems some better. I sure hope he won't have to go back to the State Hospital.

THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 1941

I have sewed some today and have done the general house work. I wanted to make some soap today but Rex wanted me to wait a while I don't feel as well as I usually do. Rex & Jay have been working on the garden fence today.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 1941

I haven't felt so well today. Have done the general house work. Got 2 telephone calls. Jessie called so did Leonah. The men have been working on the garden fence again today. John and Alma came a while tonight.
