Alma came this afternoon & we worked in my bedroom. Alma washed my windows & hung my curtains & put the new rug down & waxed it for me. Rex & Jay have been working away from home today. Jessie got a call from Hopkinsville saying Dad is worse. Rex went to tell Mother & I went home with Alma & will spend the night. Fern & William Ross spent the night with Jay & Rex. {Right hand page} THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 1941 I came home this morning and got dinner & finished ironing. I mended some clothes today. Rex went to town. Lin & Jessie took Mother to Hopkinsville to see Dad. Jessie thought he was in a awful bad shape while Mother thought he wasn't as bad as she had seen him a number of times.
