[1931.] It has rained all day and Cosby didn't get to come. Mother and myself played Rook tonight.

[1932.] I ironed today & helped Mother grind sausage and worked on my Dutch Doll quilt a little.

[1933.] Dock brought me to Mother's this morning and I am going to stay a few days with her. Mother and I made my blue skirt today and we went down to see Uncle Brack a little while late this afternoon.

[1934.] I spent the day with Mother & Dad today. Mother & I went to see Uncle Brack a little while this afternoon. We went to see Ocie a little while also.

[1935.] I ironed a few pieces and Mother & I sewed a little. Dad went to town. Mother wrote a letter to Mrs. Green. Mother & I went to see Uncle Brack a little while this afternoon.

[1931.] Came to town this morning and went to school. I made 88 on an English test today. studied a little tonight.

[1932.] I have been nearly sick today with a cold. I worked on my Dutch Doll quilt some and read a little and wrote a letter to Rex.

[1933.] Mother and I worked on my smock today. Mother and I went to see Ocie this afternoon but she wasn't at home. We went to see Uncle Brack a little while also.

[1934.] I sewed some and washed a few pieces today. I went to see Uncle Brack a little while this afternoon. Mother helped me with my sewing some.

[1935.] Uncle Brack & I went to town this morning & I stopped in to see Mrs. Mann. I went to see Mrs. Hewlett and Aunt Ermie also. I went to Jessie but she wasn't at home. Dock brought me home. They killed part of their hogs yesterday.

[1931.] Went to school today. Mrs. Mann, Ernest and myself went to the B. Y. P. W social at the church tonight.

[1932.] Mother & I worked on my Dutch Doll quilt some today. Mr. H. E. Stocks, Secretary, of Lockyear's business college came again this afternoon trying to get me to go to college.

[1933.] Mother & I worked on my smock some this morning. We went to see Ocie this afternoon. We went to see Uncle Brack a little while also. Dad went to town today.

[1934.] Uncle Brock & I went to town this morning & I stopped in to see Mrs. Mann a little while. I saw Agnus and Ada in town. Agnus & her little brother & I were together in town & had a real good time. Rex was at town also and we came home late this afternoon.

[1935.] I have been disappointed that I didn't get to go to church today but Rex said he didn't feel like going. I got dinner. Jim came this afternoon. Sis & Mr. Slaton went to Loyd's & Aunt Jessie's.

[1931.] Went to school today and Alline Slaton & myself went to town this afternoon. Heard President Hoover speak over the Radio tonight.

[1932.] I cleaned up the house this morning and Mother & I worked on my Dutch Doll quilt some. We went to see Ocie a little while this afternoon.

[1933.] Mr. & Mrs. Gene Melton spent the day with Mother & Dad today. I went to see Uncle Brock this afternoon. Rex came after me this afternoon and I came home. B.J, Lonna and Bobby came this afternoon and are going to spend the night with us.

[1934.] Sis & I went to Church at Liberty this morning. Stella, Mary & Aunt Jessie came this afternoon. Stella, Sis, Mary & I went driving and Aunt Jessie went to Aunt Pattie's. Fletcher, Cousin Es., Earl & William Ross came this afternoon also.

[1935.]Earl killed hogs today. I have quilted some this morning. Mrs. Merrill came this afternoon & helped me quilt. I cooked supper. Geneva Duncan came home with Sis & will spend the night.

[1931.] Went to school today, and to town this afternoon. Mrs. Mann, Ernest and myself went to Prayer Meeting tonight.

[1932.] Blanche Polley came this morning. Blanche, Dad & I went to town today. Rex came tonight and we played rook & had a right nice time.

[1933.] Ernest Ball & Basil spent the day with us. B.J. Lonna and Baby spent the day also. Aunt Jessie and Mary came this afternoon.

[1934.] I made some molasses candy, pop corn balls and popped some pop corn this morning. I went to Jim's this afternoon. Mrs. Denton doesn't feel as well as she does sometimes.

[1935.] Kate washed. Rex went to the Island. I have quilted some today and done the general house work. Jim came this afternoon. I cooked supper.

[1931.] Went to school today, and came home this afternoon. Studied a little tonight. Got a letter from Cosby today.

[1932.] Dad, Blanche & I went to see Amy Bell's baby this morning. Blane went home this afternoon. Rex came late this afternoon.

[1933.] I spent the day at Jim's today. Mrs. Rogers came this after Mrs. Rogers, Evelyn and I went the School House to a play this af[ternoon]

[1934.] I cleaned up the house, got dinner & churned & ironed some today. Kate washed for us today. Sis, Dock, Rex & I went to the morling[?] Picture show at Wilson's School tonight. The name of the show was "General Custer's Last fight with the Indians." The fight happened in the year of 1876.

[1935.] I ironed some, churned & got dinner. Mr. & Mrs. Merrill, Leona, Mrs. Rigney & I went to Ruby Goine & helped quilt on Mrs. Caff's quilt. Mrs. Roy Slaton & Mrs. Caff were there also. I cooked supper.

[1931.] Stayed at home all day and studied for a Physics test, we have it Monday.

[1932.] We washed this morning and I read some this afternoon. Mother & I played checkers tonight.

[1933.] Rex and I washed this morning and I got dinner. I moped [mopped] the kitchen and back porch this afternoon.

[1934.] I cleaned up the house, got dinner & ironed some today I patched some today also. Lin and Jim came a little while this afternoon.

[1935.] I ironed & got dinner this morning. Mrs. Rigney ate dinner with us and Ernest Ball did also. Ernest is moving on the Island today. Mrs. Merrill, Leona came this afternoon. Mrs. Merrill, Leona, Mrs. Rigney & I quilted this afternoon.

[1931.] Mother & Dad went to see Mrs. Kirkland a little while this morning and I stayed at home & cooked dinner. Cosby came this morning.

[1932.] We ironed today and I finished reading "an old Fashioned Girl." I have been nearly sick today.

[1933.] I ironed today and got dinner and cleaned up the house. Rex and Dock killed a hog this afternoon. Lin came this afternoon & brought Mr. Slaton home. He had been up there ever since Sunday afternoon.

[1934.] I did the general house work today. Dock, Sis & I went to another Moving Picture show tonight at Wilson's School. The name of the show was "The Life of Christ." I wrote a card to Mother today.

[1935.] Mr. & Mrs. Merrill, Leona, Mrs. Rigney and I went to Mrs. Sights this afternoon and helped quilt on Mrs. Sights quilt. I wrote a letter to Mother today.

DECEMBER 7

1931. Came to town this morning & went to school. Alline Slaton came this afternoon & we studied English together.

1932. Earl, Clyde, Carl, J.B . and Harley came this morning to tell us about Aunt Laura being dead. She died yesterday at 6 o'clock P.M. Ocie came this afternoon.

1933. I cut up the meat for the lard this morning, churned and got dinner. I fixed the hem in my blue skirt this afternoon. Jim came a while tonight.

1934. I did the general house work today and read some. Sis went to town this afternoon to a Teacher's meeting and is going to spend the night at Jessie's. Albert came a little while this afternoon. It snowed a little today.

1935. It has rained nearly all day. Rex & Dock went to town. I patched a pair of Rex pants and quilted today. Bud Haywood got married several day ago.

DECEMBER 8

1931. Went to school today, and studied my lesson's this afternoon. It has rained today.

1932. Mother, Dad and I went to Aunt Laura McGuyer's funeral and burying this afternoon at Pleasant View. Rev. Graves preached the funeral.

1933. I got dinner, made a cake and two pies this morning and cleaned up the house. Mr. Ed Sisk came a little while this morning. Jasper came also.

1934. I got breakfast & cleaned up the house this morning. Rex, Dock & I went to town this morning & I spent the day at Jessie's. Ethel McGrew spent the day also. It snowed a little today.

1935. It has rained today. I got breakfast helped clean up the house and churned and Sis got dinner. Albert, Nora Lee, Edna, Evelyn, Joseph and Mr. Ed. Sisk came this afternoon. I have read some today. I wrote a letter to Mother tonight.
