SEPTEMBER 24

1931. Went to school today and to town this afternoon.. We went to the training school at the church tonight.

1932. We sewed some this morning & I cleaned up the house. Rex came this afternoon & we went to the show tonight. I got a letter from B. F. Osburn today.

1933. Rex and I spent the day with Mother and we came home this afternoon. Dad is working on the road.

1934. Nealie stayed all night last night with us & went to school with Sis today. Kate washed for us today. I got dinner, churned & cleaned up the house this morning & gathered some dried beans, pears & butter beans this afternoon.

1935. Mrs. Will Vannoy died about 2 or 2:30 yesterday afternoon. I ironed some this morning & got dinner. Mr. Slaton, Rex & I went to Mrs. Vannoy's funeral & burial at Browders this afternoon. Rev. Rayburn preached the funeral. We stayed for Rev. Penders funeral also. Rev. Commings from [?] preached Rev Penders funeral.

SEPTEMBER 25

1931. Went to school today and came home this afternoon. Studied a little tonight.

1932. Mother, Dad & I spent the day at Mr. Gene Melton's. We went to see Lorene this afternoon. Rex came late this afternoon.

1933. I have embroidered some today. Sis & I pealed some pears this afternoon. Leona came a little while this afternoon.

1934. I cleaned up the house, got dinner and ironed some today. Lin & Jess came this afternoon. I wrote a letter to Mother tonight.

1935. I finished ironing, got dinner, churned, made some apple jelly, dressed a chicken and canned 1/2 gallon of tomatoes today. Ameila came a little while late this afternoon. I wrote a letter to mother yesterday.
