1931. Stayed at home all day, and read Uncle Tom's Cabin. Acia and baby came over a little while.

1932. Came to town this morning & went to school. I made A on my report on Galileo and made 88 on an English test today.

1933. I sewed some today. I didn't get a letter today as I expected. Mother & I played Rum tonight.

1934. I cleaned up the house, got dinner and fixed Rex vest this morning. I patch some this afternoon. I wrote a letter to Mother today.

1935. I cleaned up the house & got dinner, & supper today. I still don't feel well; my cold doesn't get much better. Sis went to town late this night this night at Jessie's. [Albert?] & Joe came tonight.

Jan. 5

1931. Came to town this morning and went to school. Went down in town this afternoon, and mailed a letter to Cosby.

1932. Went to school today, we had an English test today. It rained this morning and is turning colder tonight.

1933. Uncle Brock brought me to town this morning and I spent the day with Mrs. Mann & Will spent the night. I wrote a letter to Rex this afternoon. Ernest made some candy tonight.

1934. Sis, Mr. Slaton and I picked the seeds out of some cotton last night. Rex helped us a little. I cleaned up the house, got dinner, made some pickles, washed a few pieces and did some pressing today. Sis & Evelyn went to Jessie's this afternoon and are going to spend the weekend with her.

1935. I got breakfast, dinner, cleaned up the house, dressed a chicken, & churned today. My cold isn't very much better. Carl came tonight. Earl & Rex played checkers.
