Dear Mrs. Cutler:

Thank you for your recent letter of February 24.

I am sorry but I cannot be with your fifth grade classes on the date you suggest, March 11, for the Capital tour.

Unfortunately, for us both, you have caught me when the Georgia Legislature is no longer in session. Consequently, I am devoting my time to fulfilling speaking engagements, and accepting interviews.

I do wish you and your classes a very happy day in the city of Atlanta. I regret having to say no, but I also hope you will look me up again next year, when the Legislature is in session.
