Classroom Program. Supervised student teachers from Queens College and Bank Street College of Education. Led workshops for teachers on teaching about Africa. Participated in program using paraprofessional staff in the classroom. Conducted after-school recreation program for neighborhood children. Taught two Head Start classes during summer of 1967.

personal Grew up in ST. Louis, Missouri. Spent junior and senior background high school years in Zorzor, Liberia, West Africa. Have traveled in many countries in Europe, Africa, South and Central America as well as throughout the Caribbean and Canada.

From January to July of 1974, I visited several countries in western Europe and north and west Africa on a personal trip to study and write.

From February to May of 1975, I lived in Port au Prince, Haiti where I was co-host of a weekly music program on Radio Haiti Inter.
