Thank you for your letter concerning a speech at Chico State College. I am sorry to be so slow in responding, but the pressure of pre-legislative meetings has caused my correspondence to lag.

I could not come to California until next spring; my schedule is filled until that time. Perhaps you would like to contact my lecture agent, the American Program Bureau 59 Temple Place, Boston, Massachusetts. They would be able to make the necessary arrangements.
