Re: Communication

It is of vital importance that there be developed a printed medium of communication between young, black, political and social activists in Atlanta.

The recent discussions about jobs between blacks, unions and contractors needs to gain wider circulation. So does the recent discussions about metro-government for Metro Atlanta.

There is no more natural medium than the printed page. I urge that people in possession of knowledge and expertise on these and other subjects:

WRITE IT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once having set it down on paper, I next urge that you:

CIRCULATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The total "Young Men On The Go" mailing list is a perfect cross-section of interested persons, opinion makers, movers and shakers and behindthe-scene men in Atlanta. Certainly this group ought to be kept in touch with all current issues of concern.

A great many members of the "Young Men On The Go" have access to secretaries, Mimeo machines, and the mailing list. We do each other an injustice when we fail to inform each other about specialized knowledge.

It will cost literally pennies to circulate memos (like this one), position papers, and other information.

Think about it!

Sincerely,

Julian Bond 361 West View Drive, Southwest Atlanta, Georgia 30310
