Mr. Bond:
The politics of necessity have emerged from a year once disguised in youthful hope and aspiration. Realism dictates the political attitudes and philosophies for the forthcoming election. It represents a responsibility which cannot be rejected with an exasperated shrug. Realism is a threat-Wallace, the status-quo-Nixon, and logic-Humphrey.
Mr. Bond, come to Berry and talk, make the present controversies more than words, create political realities. We want a thought provoking conversation which includes the answers which frustrated Americans are so desperately seeking.
Time and money are both practical factors. You possess the choice of time, any evening before October 24th; unfortunately we do not possess the money. The only rewards offered for your service are aroused thinking and action.
The challenge of the future beckons your domination, so come, speak for yourself.
Your reply is awaited. Thank you.
Sincerely,
(signed) J. Gallagher
