They cost us $16.33 + if you bought them at the store they would cost $35.00. I wear mine instead of my overcoat. Guess I had better say good night. Take good care of my boys. I tell G. W. "Howdy." Love to all Mother Write often

HUNTER FIELD SAVANNAH, GEORGIA

I wish you would write [Cpl. Stu?] a few lines. He is a pretty nice kid. And he is like the rest of us in service. We like to get letters. Would you like a box of Hershey Bars? What do you kids want for X-mas? It won't be long will it. I'll take a furlough & won't ask for a thing. Wish I could.

I had some pictures taken down town Sat. night. Hope they are good. I was in bed two days last week with a cold but am OK now. I won't have a chance to get another coat unless some more WACs come in without coats & I have to order some but every one here has one.

HUNTER FIELD SAVANNAH GEORGIA

Dear Kids

Received your letter with insurance book money order and pictures. Don't know what I can do about that insurance. The pictures are so cute. I'll have a book with nothing but my grandsons pretty soon + that would suit me just find. I am sending a picture taken the day I received my S/Sgt's rating. You can't even tell who I am. How is Jimmy getting along? I hope he doesn't have to have an operation.
