come to very quickly to
clothe the men at Zossen
in uniform &c &c
as agreed on I must confess
I see no hope of any

progress, either here or
in America.
In the latter country the
effect or failure in this matter
will be disastrous in the
extreme - more so than
is perhaps realized at the
general staff here.
I trust no further time
will be lost in carrying
out the promises made
to the men who have
already volunteered -
