THIS DEED made this the 12th day of November, 1952, by and between Ethel G. Harris, Widow, and W. Edward Guthrie, Brother, Widower of Alamance County, North Carolina, parties of the first part, and J. W. Coltrane and James R. Graham of Guilford County, North Carolina, parties of the second part,

WITNESSETH: That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) to them paid by the said parties of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to the said parties of the second part, and their heirs and assigns, all of the following described real property, to-wit: That certain tract or parcel of land in Burlington Township, Alamance County, North Carolina, adjoining the lands of [blank] and others, and bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at an iron bolt corner with Church Street and William Burke, running thence with line of William Burke, N. 35 deg. W. 374 feet to an iron bolt corner with James H. Holt; running thence with line of James H. Holt S. 86 deg. E. 68 feet to an iron bolt, corner with Mebane Real Estate and Trust Company; running thence with Lines of Mebane Real Estate and Trust Company and E. L. Morgan S. 35 deg. E. 323 feet to an iron bolt, corner with Church Street; running thence with line of Church Street S. 55-2/3 deg. W. 55 feet to the BEGINNING.

To have and to hold said real property, together with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to him, the said party of the second part, and his heirs and assigns in fee simple forever..

The said parties of the first part covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, and his heirs and assigns, that they are seized of said premises in fee and have the right to convey the same in fee simple, and that the same is free and clear from all encumbrances whatsoever, and that they will forever warrant and defend the title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever. Subject, however, to the 1953 city and county taxes, which are assumed by the grantees.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals, this the day and year first above written.

I, La Verne May, a Notary Public in and for the above named State and County, do here certify that Ethel G. Harris, Widow, and W. Edward Guthrie, Brother, (Widower) this day personally appeared before me and acknowledged the due execution of the foregoing Deed for the purposes therein expressed; and the said [blank] being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she does still voluntarily assent thereto.
