This Deed Made this the 1st day of July 1938
by Florence Welch Harriss
of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the first part,
to Elizabeth H. Covington and J. Welch Harris of Guilford County and
State of North Carolina, party of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of
($10.00) Ten Dollars and other valuable consideration to
[blank] paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has/have bargained and sold,
and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and their heirs a tract
or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the
lands of [blank] and others, and bounded as follows:

Beginning at a stake in Smith's line and running South along Smith's
line 4.27 chains to a stake in said line Gray's corner; thence East
90 feet North 89° 30' East to a stake Gray's corner; thence South 160
feet South 4° 15' East to a stake in Gray's line; thence East 22.70 chains
North 88° 30' East to a stake West side of Willowbrook Street; thence North
440 feet North 9° 00' West to a stake on West side of Willowbrook St.;
thence West 24.00 chains South 88° 30' West to the beginning, containing
fifteen and one-half acres more or less.

(One-half undivided interest to Mrs. Elizabeth H. Covington and one-half
undivided interest to J. Welch Harriss, tenants in common.)

The above land was conveyed to grantor by [blank]. See Book No. [blank], Page [blank], etc.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said
party of the second part and their heirs and assigns forever.

And the said party of the first part does covenant that she is seized of said premises in fee and
has the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that she
will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her husband, touching her volunteer execution of the same, doth
state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that
she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the deed and this certificate be registered.
