This Deed Made this the 1st day of July 1938
by Mrs. Florence W. Harriss
of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the first part,
to Elizabeth H. Covington and J. Welch Harriss of Guilford County and
State of North Carolina, party of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of
($10.00) Ten Dollars and other valuable consideration to
[blank] paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has/have bargained and sold,
and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and their heirs a tract
or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point, Township, adjoining the
lands of O. N. Richardson, W. P. Pickett and others, and bounded as follows:

Beginning at a stake in O. N. Richardson's line and running thence
North with said line about one hundred and ninety-four feet and nine
inches to a stake O. N. Richardson's and Mamie J. Smith's corner;
Thence West with O. N. Richardson's line about two hundred and fifteen
feet and ten inches to a stake O. N. Richardson's and Mamie J. Smith's
Corner in Burns' line; thence South with Burns' and W. P. Pickett's
line about two hundred feet and eight inches to a stake in Mollie
Alston's line; thence East with Mollie Alston's and Mamie J. Smith's
line about two hundred and seventeen feet and eight inches to the
beginning, containing one acre, more or less.

(One-half undivided interest to Mrs. Elizabeth H. Covington and one-
half undivided interest to J. Welch Harriss, tenants in common.)

The above land was conveyed to grantor by J. J. Welch. See Book No. [blank], Page [blank], etc.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said
party of the second part and their heirs and assigns forever.

And the said party of the first part does covenant that she is seized of said premises in fee and
has the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that she
will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA - GUILFORD COUNTY

grantors, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed of conveyance, and the

being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth
state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that
she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.
