This Deed Made this the 1st day of July 1938
by (nee Miss Julia F. Welch)
Mrs. Florence Welch Harriss
of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the first part,
to Elizabeth H. Covington and J. Welch Harriss of Guilford County and
State of North Carolina, party of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of
($10.00) Ten Dollars & Other valuable considerations Dollars to
[blank] paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has/have bargained and sold,
and by these presents do [blank] bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and their heirs a tract
or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the
lands of [blank] and others, and bounded as follows:
Beginning at the stone on Jamestown Street (Washington Street), and run-
South two hundred feet to a stone, thence East one hundred and seventy-
two feet to a stone, thence North one hundred and forty-one feet to a
stone; thence West one hundred and seventy-two feet to the beginning
containing in all one-half acre more or less and is situated in High
Point and adjoins the lands of Green Bowman and others.

(One-half undivided interest to Mrs. Elizabeth H. Covington and one-half
undivided interest to J. Welch Harriss, tenants in common.)

The above land was conveyed to grantor by Banks Tate & Wife, Martha Tate. See Book No. 89, Page 319, etc.
To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said
party of the second part and their heirs and assigns forever.

And the said party of the first part does covenant that she is seized of said premises in fee and
has the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that she
will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth
state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that
she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.
