This Deed Made this 2nd day of May A. D. 1929 by THE PARK CEMETERY COMPANY, a corporation duly organized under the laws of the State of North Carolina with its principal office in Guilford County, North Carolina, party of the first part, to Comer Covington of Guilford County and State of N. C. party of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of ($10.00 etc) Ten Dollars and other valuable consideration to it paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold and by these presents does bargain, sell and convey unto said party of the second part and his heirs, a tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and the State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, and described as follows, viz:

Being Lots "C" Numbers 4, 61, 5 & 62 of Block [crossed out] of "Oakwood Cemetery Addition", as per a plat thereof duly recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of Guilford County, North Carolina, in Plat Book 7, at Pages 71 to which reference is hereby had for full particulars as to location and description.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to Him the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever, but subject always to all of the reservations, restrictions, limitations and uses set out in that certain deed of conveyance heretofore made by said PARK CEMETERY COMPANY to C. M. Kephart, dated the 25th day of August, 1925, and recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of Guilford County, North Carolina, in Book 496, at Page 127, to which reference is hereby had for said reservations, restrictions, limitations and uses.

The above land was conveyed to grantor by Own-A-Home Company, See Book 454, page 478.

And said party of the first part doth covenant that it is seized of said premises in fee and has the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that it will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever.

In Testimony Whereof, The said party of the first part has caused this deed to be signed in its corporate name by its President and attested by its Secretary, and sealed with its common corporate seal, on the day and year first above written.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, GUILFORD COUNTY

This 2nd day of April A. D. 1929, Personally came before me R. H. Sechrest Notary Public of said County and State, Hunter C. Sechrest, who being by me duly sworn, says that he knows the common seal of THE PARK CEMETERY COMPANY, and is acquainted with S. C. Clark, who is the President of said corporation, and that he, the said Hunter C. Sechrest is the Secretary of the said corporation, and saw the said President sign the foregoing instrument, and that he the said Hunter C. Sechrest, Secretary as aforesaid affixed said seal to said instrument, and that he the said Hunter C. Sechrest signed his name in attestation of the execution of said instrument in the presence of said President of said corporation. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.

Witness my hand and official seal, this the 2nd day of April 1929 R. H. Sechrest My Commission Expires 2/26-31
