This Deed made this the 14th day of February 1924 by A. Sherrod and his wife Lizzie Sherrod of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, parties of the first part, to Florence W. Harris of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the second part:

Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of ($10.00) Ten and No/100 Dollars to them paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these present do bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and her heirs a tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the lands of E. H. C. Fields Est., Harris and others, and bounded as follows:

BEGINNING at an iron stake, the north-east corner of Mrs. J. W. Harriss lot and the south-east corner of E. H. C. Fields Est. lot; thence in an easterly direction, a continuation of Harris-Fields line, about 20 feet to the West line of Wrenn Street; thence south along said line of Wrenn Street, 26 feet; thence west about 20 feet to a stake, Harris and Millis corner; thence north along Mrs. Harris line, 26 feet to the beginning, containing 520 square feet, more or less.

The above land was conveyed to grantor by T. F. Wrenn See Book No. 393, Page 138, etc.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtences thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part and her heirs and assigns forever.

And the said parties of the first part do covenant that they are seized of said premises in fee and have the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

Consideration $10.00 Date February 14th 1924

Filed for registration on the 21 day of Feb 1924, at 4:30 o'clock P. M., and duly recorded in the office of Register of Deeds of Guilford County, N. C.

In Book No. 443 Page 206 etc. R. H. Wharton Register of Deeds.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA - Guilford County.

I, E. J. Edwards, a Notary Public of said County, do hereby certify that A. Sherrod and his wife Lizzie Sherrod grantors, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed of conveyance, and the said Lizzie Sherrod being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto.
