This Indenture, Made this third day of November,
In the year Eighteen Hundred and Sixty, Between A. V. Sullivan
of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina of the first part,
and William Bowman of the County of Randolph and State of
North Carolina of the second part: WITNESSETH, that the said party of the first part,
for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred Dollars,
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has given, granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and do
hereby give, grant, bargain, sell and convey to the said party of the second part, all that tract or parcel of land,
lying in the county of Guilford State of North Carolina, bounded as
follows:

Beginning at a stake on the East side of the
Jamestown Street, in the town of High Point, and
corner of Dr. J. K. Pinnix's lot, and running South
36 Degrees. East 385 feet to a stone, one hundred
feet from the center of the North Carolina Rail Road
Thence North 52 degrees East one hundred feet
to a stone. Thence North 36 degrees West to
Jamestown Street. Thence South 52 Degrees
West, alongside Said Street one hundred
feet to the beginning.
Containing seven eights of an acre more
or less.

To have and to hold the same with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the
said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part, for the
consideration aforesaid, doth hereby covenant and agree to WARRANT and DEFEND the premises aforesaid, to
the said party of the second part, and his Executors, Administrators and Assigns, against the claim
and entry of all persons whatever, and he doth further covenant, that he is
seized of the premises in fee simple, and hath power to make and convey such an Estate by this Indenture,
and hath done the same by these presents.

In Witness Whereof, the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal on
the day and year above written.
