Agreement of Copartnership Between W P Pickett & J J Welch

Know by these presents that W. P. Pickett and J. J. Welch this day June 3th A. D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy three inter in copartnership the stile of firm to be W. P. Pickett & Co and that in consideration of Twenty eight Hundred and Ninty 74/100 Dollars in above said firm by W. P. Pickett of Davidson County and State of North Carolina and that in consideration of Sixty Five 77/100 Dollars put in above said firm by J. J. Welch of Guilford County and State of North Carolina. The agreement of the above said copartnership is that J. J. Welch is to pay W. P. Pickett 8 per cent interest on his surplus investment or on $1412.48/100 Fourteen Hundred and twelve 48/100 Dollars for fore years or untill June 3 day A. D. one thousand Eight hundred and Seventy seven and thereafter interest to be redressed to 6 per cent per annum. and the gains or losses to be shared equally in testimony whereof the said above pa[r]ties have hereunto interchangeable set their hands and seals this 3st day of June A. D. one thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy three
