December 18, 1939

On the evening of December 18, 1939, the Elm Street Parent Teacher Association held its regular monthly meeting in the school auditorium. All business was dispensed with and a Christmas pageant was presented by representatives from each grade in school under the direction of Miss Margaret Andrews and Mrs. Dunbar. Miss Frank and a number of her violin pupils played several Christmas songs and carols.

February 29, 1940

The Elm Street Parent Teacher Association held its regular monthly meeting in the school auditorium on February 29, 1940 with Mrs. W. L. Edwards, membership chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted. In her membership report, Mrs. Edwards announced that in the membership drive first prize went to Miss Clegg's grade who was over 100%; second prize to Mrs. English's grade who was also over 100%; and third prize to Mrs. Dunbar's grade who was just 100%. All mothers, who were interested in singing, were urged to join the Mother-Singers Group.

of the program. Miss Helen Butler made an interesting and informing talk on the "Meaning of Founders' Day." The sixth grades of the school presented to the school an oil portrait of George Washington, painted by Mr. T. E. Dodameade. The following presentation program was given:
