On Nov. 12, 1934, a meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association of Elm Street School was held in the school auditorium.

Mrs. Coffield, the president, called the meeting to order. After an invocation by Rev. F. L. Conrad, the minutes of last meeting were read and the treasurer's report was given.

she would like to place in the hands of the parents.

The Membership Chairman reported 191 paid members, which is 60% of our patrons. The Child Study Chm. stated that interesting and well-attended meetings were being held each Wednesday. Mrs. Schroder told the Association of the ways in which our needy children are being cared for, and thanked individuals and organizations for their help.

Mrs. Ingram, the program chm. presented Miss Margaret Sloan, whose two vocal numbers were delightfully rendered. "Home and School Cooperation" was the subject for discussion. Miss Veigh Hutchinson presented it from the standpoint

The December meeting of the Elm Street Parent-Teacher Association was held on December 11, 1934.

Mrs. Schroder told the parents of some improvements which had been made on our building and grounds.

In the absence of the program chairman, Mrs. Schroder introduced Mrs. J. Gurney Briggs, whose two vocal selections were beautifully rendered; and Dr. C. R. Hinshaw of High Point College, who ably discussed The School Legislation of 1933.
