State of North Carolina, Forsyth County,

This Deed, made this the 21st day of February, A.D. 1912, by B. X. Linville and his wife, Carrie M. Linville; and R. F. Linville and his wife, Lille M. Linville, of the County of Forsyth and State of N. C. parties of the first part, to John Reid of the county of Guilford and state of N. C., party of the second part.

Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part in consideration of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) to them paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain, sell, and convey unto the said party of the second part and his heirs, a tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of N. C., in Highpoint Township, adjoining the lands of the Highpoint Development Co. and others, and Bounded as follows:

Beginning at a stake, corner of Park and Wise Streets and running thence, along Wise street, Eastward one hundred and fifty feet to a stake; thence, Southward fifty feet to a stake; thence, westwardly one hundred and fifty feet to a stake on Park Street; thence northward with said Park Street fifty feet to the beginning, and being lot no. 9 in section 14 of the property of the High Point Development Co.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever.

And the said parties of the first part do covenant that they are seized of the said premises in fee and have the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

In Testimony whereof, the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.

State of N. C. Forsyth County.

I, Geo. W. Crews, Justice of the Peace, do here by certify that B. X. Linville and Carrie M. Linville, his wife; and R. F. Linville and Lillie M. Linville, his wife, personally appeared before me this day, and acknowledged the due executions of the foregoing deed of conveyance and the said Carrie M. Linville and Lillie M. Linville being by me privately examined separate and apart from their said husbands, touching their voluntary execution of the same, do state that they signed the same freely and voluntarily without fear or compulsion of their said husbands, or any other person, and that they do still voluntarily assent thereto.

Winess my hand and private seal, this 21st day of February A.D. 1912.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, Forsyth County.

I, R. E. Transou Clerk of the Superior Court of said County, do certify that Geo. W. Crews whose genuine signature appears to the foregoing certificate is, and was at the time of signing the same, an acting Justice of the Peace for said County, and full faith and credit are due to his official acts.
