George D. Walker

George Walker was born in Charlotte,
NC on January 17, 1900.

He moved to High Point, NC and lived
at Highland Mill Village. He married
Ethel Bertha McDonald and they had
a daughter, Doris.

He was a wonderful Father, husband, and
Grandfather. He was always there for
his family. His family loved him and
his friends loved his quick wit and
wonderful personality. He was always there for
myself and my brother, Scott.

After many years working at Highland Cotton
Mill, he became a Police Officer with the HP
Police Department. He worked their until his
retirement.

He passed away on September 25, 1980,
at the age of 80 years old.
