1907 fine time, went in company with Stephens Carrick. John also went on to New York & other cities when he was at Jamestown. May Lindsay spent a week with us went home Nov 25. Mary Alice has been very sick has Bronkitus the Dr. told us. She has been in the room for 5 weeks Nov 26.

1908 Jan 8. Iola & Mary Alice have gone to Mr. Hilliards at Cary nine miles this side of Raleigh. Mr. Siceloff & myself have been to Bethany & stayed all night. We all got to go out there during Christmas "except Sam". Apr 18. Bessie has gone to Winston Salem to spend Easter with Mittie Merryman. Sam has taken her place at the store Apr. 20.

1908 June 3. John's gone too Charlotte for the merchants association banquet. June 1908. Bess painted their room upstairs. Aug 5. Bess has gone to Ashboro too a League conference gone with miss Ellen Thompson. July 27. Your Father and myself went to Lexington come back July 30.

1908 Aug 16. Bess and her Father are going to Bethany & Odell is with us. him and John are going to [text erased] Mitty Perryman, is here visiting Bess and Maggie Aug. 21, 1908. Sept 4. I went to the Pony Show yesterday. Magge and myself went that night the others went in daytime.
