State of N. Carolina Guilford Co.

This deed made this the 15th day of May 1884 by John A. Lindsay and wife Maud M. Lindsay of Guilford Co. and State of N. C. of the first part to O. S. Causey W. P. Pickett and E. A. Snow - Trustees - And their successors, for the use of the "Pioneer Tobacco Warehouse Co." of High Point N. C. of Guilford Co and State aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth: That said John A. Lindsay and wife Maud M. Lindsay in consideration of Five Hundred Dollars to them paid by O. S. Causey, W. P. Pickett and E. A. Snow - Trustees &c. the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell and convey to said O. S. Causey, W. P. Pickett and E. A. Snow - Trustees - and their successors all the rights, title, interest and Estate of the party of the first part in and to a tract of land in

High Point Guilford Co. N. C. adjoining the land of Leach and Waldrop - Except reservation below mentioned.

Bounded as follows, viz. Beginning at a stone corner of West Church and Front Street and running south 37 degrees East with Front Street 206 ft to a stone, corner of the lot belonging to the heirs of W. L. English dec'd. Thence North 53 degrees East 99 ft to a stone in Edmondson's line. Thence North 36 degrees west 206 ft to a stone, Edmondson's Corner, on West Church St. Thence South 53 degrees 103 ft to the beginning - Except a certain portion of said lot which has been condemned by the Town Authorities of High Point in widening streets.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said O. S. Causey. W. P. Pickett & E. A. Snow Trustees of the Pioneer Tobacco Warehouse Co. of High

And the said John A. Lindsay and wife Maud M. Lindsay covenant that they are seized of said premises in fee and have right to convey the same in fee-simple; that the same are free and clear from all encumbrances and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

In testimony whereof, the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year above written.

Guilford County.

BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this 19 day of May A.D. 1884 before me, A Notary Public for said County, personally appeared J. A. Lindsay & wife Maud M. Lindsay and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed. And thereupon the said Maud M. Lindsay being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband touching her free consent in the execution thereof, doth declare that she had executed the same freely, of her own will and accord, without any force, fear or undue influence of her said husband, or other person, and did still voluntarily assent thereto.
