The State of Alabama Salina Hopkins administratrix
Lauderdale County of the estate of George

Hopkins deceased makes due return to the orphans
court of said county. That in pursuance with
a decree of said court said administratrix as
commissioner to sell the real estate belonging
to the estate of said intestate did on the 18th day
of July 1846 after giving forty days notice of the
time and place of said sale by notices published
in the Florence Esquire a newspaper publisher
in Florence and by putting up notice in three
or more public places in said county. Proceed
to sell said real estate to wit. The South West
quarter of the North east quarter of section two
in township two [?] eight west and the south
east quarter of the North West quarter of section
two. Township two. [Ma?] 8 West to the highest
bidder on the premises on a credit of six months
and Lemuel Coram being then and there the
highest and best bidder for the same {escrow?]
the purchase of the same for the sum of
Fifty dollars

And said administratrix now reports to the
court that said purchase has fully complied
with the terms of said sale and paid the
purchase money for said land and she is
prepared to execute and make said purchaser
a title to said land when she shall be so
ordered by the court.
