"Tho you never hear her holler
That she's a very learned scholar
That she's a graduate of a college
with degrees.
There are times when I just know it
When she mentions some poor poet
Of a man whose name I couldn't
even sneeze.
Tho she's tiny and she's small
And she isn't very tall,
If I'd stopped to measure qualities
She's the biggest of them all.
As she's gracious she is charming
See her coming down the aisle
Just to see her smiling countenance
I'd even walk a mile.
Tho my meters aren't perfect
'Cause as a poet I don't shine
Best of health and luck dear Doctor
These sentiments are mine."
Alice Fitzpatrick.
To a lady so noble and true
Who always cheers us when blue
Who always gives us encouragement
to start anew
We extend our good wishes for
A very happy Annivesary
And many more to follow
Louise Payne.
