Dear fellow students, I know what is in
every heart today for Dr. Van Waters; let us
remember that the greatest gift we can
bestow on her is our own success, giving life
one more try please God having strength this
time to enroll our names on her long list of
girls who have made good from coast to coast.
Just enough shadow, we students pray
To temper the glare of her sun
Just enough courage to fight the fight
The same lowly heart when it's won
Just enough music and laughter and love
To lighten her difficult way
Just as all God's gladness and peace in her soul
That's what we wish her today.
