you some Sunday if you are at
home. Mrs Van Waters, your
class did something wonderful
for me. Those two hours every
week took me into another
world altogether and I just
forgot myself and where I was
and had a good time. Now I
know what Dr. Van Waters is
so wonderful. It's because she
has "you" for a mother. I'll
never forget your kindness
to me and the knowledge that
you will be thinking of me
and praying for me will
give me added courage,
which, God knows, I need. I
wrote a letter to Miss Voetsch
and I'm going to write a few
lines to Ruth Mabb. I hope
everybody has been as nice to
her as they have been to me. It
helps a lot when you are trying
to readjust yourself in a more

or less strange world o meet
people who are kind and good.
I have seen a couple of movies
but other than that I haven't
been anyplace. Maybe in a
few weeks I'll go to Boston
and hear a symphony. I love
music. Will you say "hello"
to the class for me and particularly
to Ruth Steadman. Tell
her to "keep her chin up" annd
that I'm thinking of her. She
is a wonderful girl and she
helped me no end while I was
with her. There isn't much
else to write about just yet so
until there is this will have
to suffice. God bless you, Mrs Van Waters

Your devoted pupil
