We welcome you to McLean Hospital. We realise
that this is a large place and confusing to newcomers.
There are 400 acres of land and more than thirty different
buildings. So we have put a map in the centre
of this book which we believe, will help you to find
your way about. At the beginning there is a directory
of various offices and places you might like to find alphabetically
arranged, and at the end, there are items
of general information.

No matter where you work, on the wards in direct
contact with the patients, on the grounds where you
will only see an occasional patient, or in the laundry,
kitchen, ships or powerhome where you will never see
a patient, your work is important to the hospital. It
is only through your cooperation that we are able to
help the sick people entrusted to our care.

We depend on you more than you realize and you
may be assured that your services as a member of the
hospital team are appreciated, whatever they may be.
To the many members of our hospital team who have
served the hospital long and faithfully, we say thank
you. To our new members, we say welcome and we
hope you will stay a long time too.
We hope that you will soon feel at home here and
that you will enjoy being part of the McLean family.
