[Gertrude Mulholland Kearns]

March 29, 1950

Mrs. Gertrude Kearns
15 Oak Street
Cohasset, Massachusetts

Dear Gertrude:

Thank you for your letter, which I enjoyed
very much. I was glad to see you the other evening in
Cohasset. It is splendid to know that you are established
so well, are married, have your own little home, a dog and
two Siamese cats. I should certainly like to see the
Siamese cats, as I admire them greatly.

Miss Sullivan is now Mrs. O'Rourke, and she is
a transportation officer working out of the State House.

You can imagine what happiness it gave me the
night of my talk to realize that a girl I had known thirteen
or fourteen years before was such a respected citizen, and
took the trouble to come to an evening meeting to see me
again.

All good wishes.

Sincerely,

Miriam Van Waters,
Superintendent
