Miss Dickinson:

Re: Grace Morrell

Mr. Robert W. Gallagher, Engineer of the Mercury
Oil Company, contractors for the City of Newton, was asked
by John Foley, direct supervisor of Leo Morrell, Grace's
husband, who works as a laborer for the City of Newton, to
come to intercede for her.

Grace's mother had been to Mr. Foley, saying she
was helpless, this was Grace's first offense, and she had
been unjustly committed and should be released.

MVW showed Mr. Gallagher previous court record.
Mr. Gallagher went away convinced RW was doing all possible
for Grace, and there was no reason to intercede for her
release.

MVW agreed to let him know if circumstances
changed. He appeared an intelligent, interested,
conscientious citizen.

Superintendent
