Dear Doctor,

Hopefully this letter will reach you before you
receive the March issue of the Mentor. While poring through
my unanswered letters (which I have been joyfully answering
for the better part of this day) I noticed yours and remem-
bered that I owe you an apology.

Here is what happened: The editorial which had
been written for the March issue was "shot down", and at a
late date. So it was decided to use some letters to fill the
space in order to meet our deadline. In a rush I was bould en-
ough to presume that you wouldn't mind if we used part of your
letter. I hope that my being so presumptuous does not offend
you. In any even I apologize for not requesting your permiss-
ion to repring that portion of your letter that I did publish.

The offer I made, to send anyone you might wish
Mentors, in the editorial note would now be a pleasure to per-
form. A sort of pentinence for my impudence and the extension
of the olive branch.

Very sincerely yours,
Ed Mello [signature]
