Dear Friend Miriam Recieved your letter & was real Please to know that you trust me I cant see why you don't because you know everything about me that Possible how ever I have nothing too hide that you must also know by now that I am frank, when I write I have too be. I have found out this is the best way, because if I lied too you then you could figure that out. Yes I will write Rhoda tonight or tomorrow & explain too her how too get up here okay!!! Yes I will be happy too see her, the last time I saw here was in Norfolk!! almost three years ago, I dont think that she will have a hard time finding that place I will explain too her how to come up.

Speaking of having a nice record you are right but the Parole think otherwise, but as I have said I do believe that they will give me a parole. Sometime this year if not then I will finsh up next September. You know I will be very happy once I am free but all I have too do now is too sit back and continue too do my best regardless, I thought the weather would be beautiful today but the camp sit right by the pond & the wind makes it real cold at times

but I love it when it get hot, inthe Summer, speaking of a good record just let me say that when one see the parole board one thing they bring out is the facts. Such as why didn't you take up a trade my answer too that is I have all the trades that I need, I can Cook Baker. I feel I will get by on just the two, which is something you can always get a job. I will be going to school in September this way it will keep me realy busy for the last year that I have too do which will help me because when you are finishing up your time it's just like starting all over again, but I try too learn something each day it helps I already have my mind made up on just what I want to do when I am free, after all it's never too late if one is willing and that I am. I Pray that I will be able too show you that I can do good, because you have hope, me too find myself after so many years. I am happy too be out of the dark and I have you too thank. Will close for now, Yours with Love & (Esteem)

Always your friend

Dear Dr Van Waters

I hope you are feeling fine as for the family here we are all fine.

I want to thank you for the card and the check it was very nice of you to think of me.

I hope we can see you again, I know its hard for you to travel but maybe when Dad comes home we'll go see you.

I don't know what to say, cause there isn't very much happening around here.

The babies are getting big and as big ones are doing fine.

Well I have to go now I hope you are fine and thank you very much for the card.
